lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15ihu6 - Touchpad not working

I have an ongoing problem with the touchpad of my laptop. I thought it was a hardware issue, because when i opened up my laptop and re-installed the cable of the touchpad it started working. So i bought a new cable but the same problem came back almost instantly. When i opened the Device Manager, there was a big yellow exclamation point in the HID-compliant touchpad field. I tried installing another driver but again it didn't work. Now the exclamation point is gone, but the problem is still there. I also tried some Lenovo drivers, but again i wasnt able to fix anything. In the device manager it threw a code 12.
