E-mails rejected when they are forwarded to my account

Emails sent to me as forwarded messages of existing conversations, never arrive in any folder. No bounce-back is received by the sender. This has happened several times, by different senders. Of course I have checked focused and non focused, as well as junk folders. There are also no rules set up, no sweep rules. Storage is fine
