Intel HD Graphics Driver (Windows 10 x64 Home Update)

Dear Friends

I have a Thomson Laptop GRNEO15C-4BK1T with Intel HD 500 Graphics (Celeron N3350 Chipset). I am running Windows 10 x64 Home Edition 21H1.

The graphics driver from Thomson is working just fine but the Microsoft Update is updating the driver without asking my permission. With Microsoft's updated graphics driver , I am getting "White Vertical Lines" at log in screen every time I boot my computer.

There is no Group Policy Manager in Windows Home Edition to prevent Microsoft Update to keep the Old (Thomson) Driver.

What do you suggest? I need a solution to keep the old (Thomson) driver.

Sincerely

Kostas

    Καλησπέρα.

    Το πρόβλημα με την λύση που προτείνει ο David-M είναι ότι μαζί με τους drivers της κάρτας γραφικών , τα Windows δεν θα ενημερώνουν κανέναν driver.

    Η λύση που χρησιμοποιώ για αυτό το πρόβλημα είναι το πρόγραμμα της Microsoft Show or Hide Updates Troubleshooter. Με αυτό επιλέγεις μία-μία ποιες ενημερώσεις δεν θες να γίνονται.

    Αν σε ενδιαφέρει αυτή η λύση ή δε γνωρίζεις πώς να το κάνεις , ενημέρωσε. (δεν εκπροσωπώ την Microsoft)

    Hi Kostas,

    I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Do the following to disable automatic driver installation:

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "System";
    2. Under "Related Settings", select "Advanced System Settings";
    3. Select the "Hardware" tab;
    4. Select "Device Installation Settings";
    5. Select "No (your device may not work as expected);
    6. Click "Save Changes" and then "Ok".

    You can also do this through "Registry Editor" (regedit).

    The article does not specify to restart Windows for the changes to take effect. Therefore, I suggest you restart the device after doing the procedure.

    I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.
