Hello Azure Support,

I explicitly opt out of the automatic quota tier upgrade for subscription abfcd880-5acc-4c8d-8e94-fd363f464daa. Please retain the current Free Tier and ensure the scheduled automatic upgrade does not occur.

On 28 August 2026, the following requests were made with this body:

{"properties":{"tierUpgradePolicy":"NoAutoUpgrade"}}

Resource: /subscriptions/abfcd880-5acc-4c8d-8e94-fd363f464daa/providers/Microsoft.CognitiveServices/quotaTiers/default

  1. PATCH with api-version=2025-10-01-preview returned NoAutoUpgrade, but the subsequent list request returned OnceUpgradeIsAvailable.
  2. PATCH with api-version=2026-05-01 returned NoAutoUpgrade, but both the direct GET and list GET returned OnceUpgradeIsAvailable.
  3. PUT with api-version=2026-03-15-preview returned NoAutoUpgrade, but both the direct GET and list GET returned OnceUpgradeIsAvailable.

Read responses report:

currentTierName: Free Tier

tierUpgradePolicy: OnceUpgradeIsAvailable

nextTierName: Tier 1

upgradeApplicableDate: 2026-08-31T13:49:43.1499579Z

upgradeAvailabilityStatus: Available

Please investigate whether the write is not persisted or the read is stale. Please confirm the effective opt-out in writing before the scheduled upgrade on 31 August 2026, 13:49 UTC.

Kind regards,

Thomas Ebner
