PostgreSQL Flexible Server blocked in Germany West Central with LocationIsOfferRestricted

Question

PostgreSQL Flexible Server blocked in Germany West Central with LocationIsOfferRestricted

Tobias Hieb 0

I have an Azure Developer Support Plan and need this routed as a PostgreSQL Flexible Server region access / quota request.

I’m trying to create an Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server in Germany West Central on a Pay-As-You-Go subscription.

The deployment fails with:

LocationIsOfferRestricted

Subscriptions are restricted from provisioning in location 'germanywestcentral'.

The Microsoft.DBforPostgreSQL resource provider is registered.

Azure CLI capability check shows:

germanywestcentral: OfferRestricted=Enabled, serverEditions=0, supportedServerVersions=0
westeurope: OfferRestricted=Disabled
uaenorth: OfferRestricted=Disabled

Germany West Central is required for regional data residency. How can Microsoft enable region access for PostgreSQL Flexible Server in Germany West Central for my subscription?

Hello, and thank you very much for your reply.

Unfortunately, I do not seem to have the option to create a support ticket from my side. I am repeatedly redirected to Microsoft Q&A instead.

Could you please let me know how I can submit this support request properly?
