Since a few days ago the Content Security Policy in Azure Managed Grafana blocks images from external sources.

In my case this affects Map-Data loaded via the Geomap Panel and images loaded from an Azure Storage Account.

The issue is also described in this Github issue: https://github.com/Azure/azure-managed-grafana/issues/60

Images for the Geomap Panel have started to work again, but images from the Storage Account still get blocked.

Is there any way I can get these unblocked for my Azure Managed Grafana instances?

I have tried creating a support request in the azure portal, but did not manage to do it? Is this just not possible with a developer support plan?

Hello cschnelzer, yes, the external images are being blocked in Azure Managed Grafana due to Content Security Policy (CSP) enforcement. This specifically affects images loaded from Azure Storage Accounts, while Geomap panel images have started working again. You want to know whether there is any way to unblock Azure Storage images for your Azure Managed Grafana instances.

CSP prevents dashboards from loading untrusted external content, reducing risks of malicious scripts or data leaks. Unlike self-hosted Grafana, Azure Managed Grafana is locked down you cannot override headers or policies. Microsoft allowed Geomap tiles because they are essential for functionality but has not extended this to Blob Storage yet.

Let me know if you have further questions?
