Nachfolger kompatibel zu SQL Server 2008 R2

Beim Wechsel von W10 zu W11 (neues System) konnte ein Analyseprogramm nicht mehr installiert werden, da die Software SQL Server 2008 R2 nicht mehr laden konnte. Den Softwarehersteller gibt es inzwischen nicht mehr. Gibt es eine kompatible Nachfolgeversion? MS unterstützt die SQL-Version nicht mehr.

SQL Server 2008 R2 is an unsupported legacy product and is not officially supported on Windows 11.

There is no direct “successor” specifically for applications built on SQL Server 2008 R2, especially when the original software vendor is no longer available. In many cases, applications may work with newer supported SQL Server versions such as SQL Server 2016, 2019, or 2022, but compatibility depends on the application design and dependencies.

We recommend testing the application with a supported SQL Server version in a non-production environment to verify compatibility.

Just following up on this thread since SQL Server 2008 R2 is a legacy and unsupported product, there are limited supported options available on modern operating systems such as Windows 11.

At this point, testing the application with a newer supported SQL Server version would be the recommended path, depending on application compatibility.

If there are no further updates from the original poster, we may proceed with closing the thread.

SQL Server 2008 R2 gilt inzwischen als Fossil. Auch ich musste das mehr oder weniger schmerzhaft zur Kenntnis nehmen. Meine Backups aus dieser Zeit konnte ich nur über SQL Server 2016 transferieren. Mittlerweile ist das ausgestanden. Mein Problem heute ist es - muss ich auch VS 2010 nach VS .xxx transferieren um weiter arbeiten zu können ????
