Manage functional mailboxes using the Microsoft Graph API

Hello everyone,

I'm currently developing a portal in Python and would like to integrate the management of shared mailboxes.

While reading the documentation and testing with the Microsoft Graph API, I noticed:

I can access shared mailboxes via /users (e.g., via companyName, mail, etc.).

But there doesn't seem to be a way to create shared mailboxes or manage permissions (FullAccess, SendAs, SendOnBehalf) via the Graph API.

As far as I understand, this is currently only possible via Exchange Online PowerShell (New-Mailbox -Shared, Add-MailboxPermission, Add-RecipientPermission, etc.).

My questions to the community:

Is there a way to fully manage shared mailboxes and their permissions via the Graph API (v1.0 or beta)?

Or is Exchange Online PowerShell actually the only way currently available?

Does anyone have experience with how to implement this elegantly from a Python application, e.g., using app-only authentication with a certificate, and how to manage this certificate? I use Docker for my Python API and Hashicorp Vault.
