Ein Microsoft-Dienst für Dateihosting- und -synchronisierung
Hello Alexander,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum Support.
If I understand correctly, you are unable to locate your iPhone photos within the OneDrive folder on your computer via the file explorer.
Please note that OneDrive saves camera backup photos in a dedicated cloud-only folder that is not automatically synced to your PC. This folder, typically named “Camera Roll” or found under the “Photos” tab in the web interface, won’t appear in File Explorer unless you manually enable its sync.
To help you access them through File Explorer, follow these steps to make sure your camera backup is properly synced.
- Confirm OneDrive Sync Settings
- Right-click the OneDrive icon in your system tray.
- Go to Settings > Account > Choose folders.
- Make sure “Pictures” or “Camera Roll” is selected for syncing.
- Check for Hidden Folders
- Open File Explorer.
- Click View > Show > Hidden items.
- Look for folders like Camera Roll that may be hidden.
- Manually Create and Sync the Folder
- In OneDrive online, locate the Camera Roll folder.
- Create a matching folder in your OneDrive directory on your PC.
- Move or copy the photos from the online folder to this local folder.
- This will force OneDrive to sync them to your File Explorer.
- Refresh OneDrive Sync
- Right-click the OneDrive icon > Sync now.
- Wait a few minutes and check File Explorer again.
- Use “View Online” as a Shortcut
- In File Explorer, right-click the OneDrive folder > View Online.
- Navigate to the Photos tab and download the images you want locally.
Best wishes,
