Inplace-Funktionsupgrade auf 1809 bricht nach Installationsfortschritt von 93% ab; Fehlermeldung: 0x80070002

Habe aktuell noch die Version Windows Pro 1709 installiert. Habe nun nachdem ich unfertige Anwendungdporjekte fertig gestellt hatte, mal wieder Zeit  und Möglichkeit ein Inplace Upgrade durchzuführen. Habe dazu den Norton Internetsecurity mit dem entsprechenden Norton Tool entfernt. Auch alle sonstigen tiefer ins  System eingreifenden Anwendungen wurden deinstalliert (Festplattenmanager, Systemexplorer  usw.) Als Sicherheitssoftware war dann der Windows Defender aktiv. Mittels MCT habe ich die 1809 nmir runtergeladen und das Image auf eine DVD gebrannt. Von der DVD habe ich dann ein Upgrade gestartet. Die Installation lief bis 93% durch. Dann kam kurz die Meldung, dass der PC in Kürze neu gestartet wir. Wenige Sekunden darauf bricht der Installationsporzess ab mit einer Fehlermeldung, dass die Installation fehlgeschlagen ist. Kurze Zeit darauf wird auch eine Fehlernummer ausgegeben. Nach Kontakt mit dem MS Support haben 3 verschiedene MS Supporter das Gleiche versucht, mit dem gleiche Fehlerbild, obwohl ich bereits  dieses Verhalten und den Installationsverlauf selbst durchgeführt hatte und Ihnen auch erwähnte. Auf das dabei erzeugte Fehlerprotokoll  der "setuperr.log" im Ordner C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Pantherwollten sie nicht eingehen, trotz Nachfrage, dies bitte zu betrachten und zu analysiern.

Ich bin von MS Support daher schwer enttäuscht!!

Mache hier mal den Inhalt der setuperr.log öffentlich. Vielleicht hat einer noch eine Idee und mehr Willigkeit und event. auch Wissen als der MS Support.

Ich werde aber wohl über einen Clean-Install mit Neuinstallation der Anwendungen nicht drum wegkommen. Warte dann aber besser gleich auf die 1903!

Trotz alledem würde ich auch gerne die Ursache des Installationsfehlers herausfinden.

    Hallo Uwe,

    musste mal wieder etwas Ruhe reinbringen. Wie schon geschrieben ist am 30.April ist ungünstigerweise wieder das automatische Upgrade mit dem Download übers Netz losgelaufen. So später auch am 6.05.2019 auf der geklonten SSD (SSD 2) nachdem ich sie anstelle der 1. SSD an den SATA Port gesteckt hatte und den PC startete. Musste ich natürlich erneut durchlaufen lassen um dann das autom. Upgrade erneut aussetzen zu können, sonst stört es, wenn es parallel zu einem Versuch als Inplace Upgrade läuft. Das automatische Upgrade (aktualisierte auf die 1803) lief verhältnismäßig normal im Tempo entgegen dem Tempo auf der SSD! am 30.04. 2019.

    Der Automatische Upgrade lief folgendermaßen ab:

    Download erfolgte , danach Windows wird installiert lief bis 100 % Es erfolgte der 1. Neustart, allerdings meldete er noch eine APP die den Neustart verhinderte: "App verhindert den Neustart - Task Host Windows - Trotzdem neustarten?" Die Meldung habe ich mit Ja quittiert. Es wurde neu gestartet. Es folgte die Konfiguration: "Update wird konfiguriert". Bei ca. 55% erfolgte plötzlich ein Neustart!

    Der Rechner fuhr wieder hoch und der Desktop erschien, wie gewohnt. In der Taskleiste  neben dem Datum / Uhrzeit machte eine Nachricht auf sich aufmerksam. Es kam eine Meldung: "Wir konnten die Installation des Updates nicht abschließen" Öffnen sie die Nachricht um weitere Informationen zu erhalten"

    Ich öffnete die Nachricht: (Einstellungen/Alle Einstellungen/ Windows Update)

    "Funktionsupdate (1)

    Fuktionsupdate für Windows 10, Version 1803 amd64 2019-04

    Erfordert einen Neustart, um die Installation abzuschließen."

    Ein Neustart-Button war nicht sichtbar. Also machte ich über das Windowssymbol in der Taskleiste einen Neustart.

    Nach dem Neustart war wieder nur die Vorgängerversion 1703 vorhanden!!

    Neugierig holte ich mir die Setuperr.log aus dem Ordner C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther un betrachtete sie mit dem Editor:

    Leider habe ich zu der Fehlermeldung 0x800705BB nichts gefunden

    Weitere Internetrecherchen haben mich auf 2 weitere mögliche Ursachen gebracht.

    1. Das Benutzerkonto: Ich habe  nur ein lokales Administratives Konto eingerichtet. Bekomme beim Rechnerstart auch keinen Anmeldebildschirm und auch keine Passwortabfrage. Kann mich auch nicht erinnern, dass ich beim Ertsaufsetzen von Win10 (ich glaube es war damals die 1503)  je ein Anmeldepasswort vergeben habe.

    Ein Kollege sagte mir, dass Win10 sensible reagiert wenn es kein Anmeldepasswort gibt.

    Hat Du dazu irgend eine Kenntnis?

    1. Die Größe der Partiton für die Ablage der Schattenkopien (wäre das die Partition Wiederherstellung OEM / Servicepartition?? und wie kann ich diese am besten vergrößern?)

    Aufgrund der vielen Programme könnte diese Partition vielleicht für die Sicherung der Schattenkopien nicht ausreichen und die Upgraderoutine möchte hier noch eine Menge ablegen?

    BlockingType="None" ist überall "None" - Ich denke das soll heissen dass hier nichts blockiert, sonst sollte hier eventuell irgendwo ein "Yes" stehen.

    Und du hast es ja mitbekommen im Endeffekt bleibt dir nur die Neuinstallation übrig

    Bei mir hat gestern das Preview Update von 18885 auf 18890 ingesamt drei Stunden gebraucht bei meiner alten Kiste ist aber ohne Fehler durchgelaufen

    Also heißt das für mich an den Grundsätzen und an den Treibern  hält MS fest

    Hallo Uwe,

    habe das Thema nicht vergessen, bin aber wegen anderer Dinge noch nicht dazugekommen weitere Upgradeversuche zu fahren. Wie schon erwähnt würde ich für den Cleaninstall gerne auf das Mai 2019 Upgrade warten.

    Leider ist vor 2 Tagen wieder der automatische Upgradeversuch mit der 1803 auf der 1. SSD losgelaufen. Und das mit einer Downloadgeschwindigkeit im 2stelligen Kb-Berich. Bewegte sich eine halbe Stunde nicht von der 0% weg. Eine Frechheit, wenn man bedenkt, dass ich sonst mit bis zu 50 MB/s downloade. Konnte das ganze leider nicht in "Upgate und Sicherheit" neu aussetzen, da eine erneutes Aussetzen erst nach einem vollständig durchgelaufenen Upgradeversuch wieder möglich ist. Habe mich erneut an den MS Support gewandt. Kannten auch keine Lösung, dies erneut auszusetzten. Die Kollegin hat dann den Updateprozess gestoppt, den Norton Scanner deaktiviert, den Sotwaredistributionordner geleert und ein Inplaceupgrade versucht. Lief natürlich wieder in den 80070002 - Fehler. War mir schon klar! Aber den MS Support kann man hier komplett vergessen!! Man möchte meinen MS möchte seine Upgrades verbessern, aber die haben ja kein Interesse die Fehler zu analysieren. Wie soll das dann funktionieren. Was mich zusätzlich stört ist, dass ich jetzt ständig beim Rechnerstart die Meldung bekomme, dass es Problemem mit meinem MS Konto gebe, obwohl ich nur ein lokales Konto benutze und ich anmelden soll. Habe das Kontopasswort vorsichtshalber geändert. Musste mich daher hier in der Community mit dem neuen MS Konto-Passwort anmelden, welches dummerweise nun nicht mehr mit meiner eingestellten Frage verknüpft ist. Bei einem Aufruf direkt aus der E-Mail heraus landete ich nicht direkt zu meinem Thema, sondern auf der Startseite. Warum muss man sich hier in der Community eigentlich mit seinem MS Konto anmelden und nicht mit einem extra generierten Zugang?

    Was ich in weiteren Recherchen zugelernt habe, ist der Sinn des Verzeichnisses c:\windows\SysWOW64. Hier legt Windows 10 die Treiber für alle Anwendungen ab, die unter der 32 bit Umgebung laufen. Eine "Krücke" von MS, um den System32-Ordner so beizubehalten, obwohl hier sinngemäß nicht die Treiber der 32 Bit Umgebung, sondern die der 64bit Umgebung beinhaltet sind.

    Wer soll diese Logik noch verstehen?

    Jetzt hoffe ich nur, dass das automatische Upgrade auf meiner "Versuchs-SSD" Nr.2 nicht jetzt auch losläuft, wenn ich diese wieder installiere. Das würde mich bei der Fehleranalyse massivst behindern!! Es gibt jetzt allerdings ein Tool (stopupdates10_2.5.58) mit dem man dies verhindern kann, aber inwieweit dies dann auch ein Inplaceupgrade stört kann ich nicht sagen.

    Hallo Reinhold

    Das ist es doch was ich die ganze Zeit sage das System kann den Bootmgr nicht erweitern darum sollst du es mit der sauberen Neuinstallation versuchen

    Und ich bin mir zu 100% sicher das das klappt
