Azure Database for PostgreSQL: Operation Stuck During Resize — Server Unresponsive

Problem description

I am experiencing an issue with my Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server. A resize operation from 2 GB to 4 GB initiated on October 13, 2026, has been stuck for over eight hours. During this time, the server became unavailable, and I cannot start or restart it. The dependent development API also remains offline because the database is not accessible.

Environment

Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server, non-production, in North Europe region.

What I've already tried

I requested the resize operation, which was accepted but did not complete. I attempted to start and restart the server, but these actions failed because the server was still in the 'Updating' state. I have reviewed the case details but have not performed additional troubleshooting steps such as checking activity logs or network configurations.
