Hi Halil Zaljevic,
As someone who longed for the left-aligned Taskbar and the old Start menu, I understand this very well! Many long-time Windows 10 users feel the same way. I’m among those that moved to Windows 11, so here's something that helped me get used to it.
1 - Built-in changes
- Right-click Taskbar > click Taskbar settings:
- (Optional) Change Taskbar alignment > Left
- Clean up by turning OFF Task view and Widgets.
- Still in Settings, go to Personalization > Start:
- Make Start menu less confusing
- Turn OFF all suggestions/options
- Change Layout to your liking.
- When right-click an item in Windows > Show more options will show the old context menu.
2 - Use a third-party tool to bring back Windows 10
- Some free options can give similar experience:
- ExplorerPatcher (what I use)
- StartAllBack
- Start11
- Restore Windows 10 Start menu, taskbar, classic right-click menu…

3 - Stay on Windows 10 (not recommended)
- Since this version is out of support, it won’t receive updates or security fixes.
- However, many users still stay on it (with firewall/protection softwares)
- If you recently upgraded to Windows 11, you can still roll back.
- If you want to install Windows 10 new: Download Windows 10
If you just want a familiar look and easier navigation, using the built-in settings and giving yourself some time to adjust is the best way. For the closest Windows 10-like experience, you can consider ExplorerPatcher (like me).
For long-term use and updates, consider sending your feedback to the development team (press Win + F). Share exactly what you’d like restored and the experience you’re looking for. Microsoft reviews this input when planning improvements, so your voice can help shape future changes.
