Hello Hofer Daniel,
When Search Head Cluster members return inconsistent search results, it usually indicates that one or more members are running an outdated baseline configuration bundle. The recommended fix is to push the deployer bundle again from the deployer using the splunk apply shcluster-bundle command, as the deployer is the authoritative source for distributing baseline apps and configuration updates across the cluster. Use the deployer to distribute apps and configuration updates states that bundle distribution occurs when explicitly triggered from the deployer and is the supported mechanism for maintaining configuration consistency.
Before forcing the synchronization, verify that the cluster is healthy and that the captain is available. After the bundle push completes, confirm that all members have received the same configuration generation and review search head clustering replication status to ensure there are no remaining replication failures. If discrepancies persist, review the Search Head Clustering monitoring dashboards and the deployer push results, as captain communication issues, replication problems, or deployment conflicts can prevent members from applying the updated bundle successfully.
