Don't have access to my MFA device

Hello,

I cannot login to my school's Microsoft account because it needs a MFA code, however I do not currently have access to the phone which generates the codes.

The only link on that page is "More information", which redirects me to a help page that tells me to click a recovery link on the login page, however there isn't any, there's only the "More information" link.

The Microsoft account recovery form told me that there's no account under that email address.

What do I do? How can I log in?

Since this is a school account, it is likely a work or school Microsoft account managed by your school's IT department.

If you no longer have access to the phone that was set up for MFA, the account recovery form usually will not work because it is intended for personal Microsoft accounts.

The school's Microsoft 365 or Entra administrator will typically need to reset your MFA methods so you can register a new device and sign in again.

Have you contacted your school's IT help desk or Microsoft 365 administrator yet?
