Had the exact same issue after updating winpe files in wds. Did the same thing you did and it now works perfectly.
WDS stopped providing UEFI/PXE boot after recent updates
Hi,
after recent update WDS no longer functioned. Figured out that 3 files were updated only in C:\Windows\System32\RemInst\boot\x64 :
bootmgfw.efi
bootmgr.exe
wdsmgfw.efi
all with 03/14/2025 02:33 PM date / time.
Copying these into my reminst ( e:\RemoteInstall\Boot\x64 ) seemed to fix the problem. Anyone here to confirm?
Thanks

2025-03-27T18:06:01.9766667+00:00 The only thing I did was add a boot image to test before I got rid of the old one. I've done that a hundred times before and it's worked fine. For some reason this time, though, it didn't update correctly. Our logs showed zero useful information either, so I'm just going to move on.
