I recently activated an Azure for Students subscription. However, I am unable to deploy any Azure resource in any region.

I have tried multiple regions, but all of them return the same error.

Could you please check my subscription and verify whether there is an issue with the region policy or my Azure for Students subscription configuration?

Every deployment fails with the following error:image

Code: RequestDisallowedByAzure
Message: Resource was disallowed by Azure: This policy maintains a set of best available regions where your subscription can deploy resources. The objective of this policy is to ensure that your subscription has full access to Azure services with optimal performance. Should you need additional or different regions, contact support.

Since your question is n English, I'd like to reply in English for clarity. Thank you for your understanding!

    Dear @omar walid,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you recently activated an Azure for Students subscription, but you're unable to deploy any Azure resources in any region. You have tested multiple regions and receive the same RequestDisallowedByAzure error, and you'd like assistance verifying whether there is a restriction related to your subscription or regional deployment policy.

Regarding this situation, since the error "RequestDisallowedByAzure" indicates that resource deployments are being restricted by a policy governing allowed regions for your subscription, this may require a backend review by the Azure Support team.

Please note that this is a community forum where users help one another. I do not have access to subscription.

configurations, policy assignments, or the ability to modify deployment restrictions

I recommend contacting Azure for Education Support and providing the following information:

    • The exact error message, including the RequestDisallowedByAzure code.
    • The date and time when the issue occurred.
    • Screenshots of the deployment failure.
    • Your Subscription ID (redact sensitive information as needed).
    • The Azure region(s) where you attempted the deployment.
    • The resource type(s) you were trying to deploy.
    • The Correlation ID or Tracking ID from the deployment details, if available.
    • Confirmation that the issue occurs across multiple regions and resource types.

This information will help the support team determine whether there is a subscription-specific region restriction, a policy assignment affecting Azure for Students subscriptions, or another configuration issue preventing deployments.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
