,Hi @Edges Academy
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand you want to schedule meetings in Microsoft Teams Premium where participants can share their screens, but recording or taking screenshots is blocked.
With Teams Premium, participants can share their screens while digital recording and screenshots are blocked.
When the organizer (or co-organizer) enables Prevent screen capture in Meeting options, Teams blocks screenshots and screen recordings on supported platforms. Attendees can still view shared content; it’s just protected against capture. On unsupported platforms, participants are switched to audio-only mode and cannot see shared visuals.
Platform behavior:
- Windows desktop: Screenshot attempts show a black rectangle over the meeting window (including pop-outs).
- Android: Screenshots and recordings are blocked, and users see a “screen capture restricted” message.
- macOS: Captured content does not appear in screenshots (meeting windows/pop-outs are hidden).
- iOS/iPadOS: Screenshots and recordings are allowed, but live video (e.g., participant feeds) is not captured; static content may appear instead.
- Unsupported clients (e.g., certain web scenarios): Attendees join audio-only; visuals are not shown.
Note: This feature does not limit who can view the shared screen on supported platforms; it only prevents capturing. All participants on supported devices can see shared content, while those on unsupported platforms are placed in audio-only mode.
How to meet your expectation (“everyone can view, but no one can capture”):
- Require supported clients for the meeting
- Ask attendees to join from Teams for Windows (desktop app) or Teams for Android. Users on macOS, iOS, web, or VDI will be forced into audio-only when this protection is enabled.
- Enable the protection before the meeting
In Teams calendar, open the meeting → Meeting options → under Advanced protection, toggle Prevent screen capture to On.
