The DISM scan stopped at 62.3% {dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth}

I tried these commands to fix the DISM problem, but {dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth} keeps getting stuck at 62%:

The issue "DISM" command stucks at 62.3% is not really an issue. "DISM" command with "/Online" parameter indicates that "DISM" will use online resources for its task, while the progress 62.3% indicates that DISM is currently downloading resources. This progress highly depends on your internet connection, so please be patient.

There's another option is running an In-place upgrade, it's easier to track how the progress is going.

Try these steps bellow to In-place Upgrade your system:

  1. Download Windows Media Creation Tool
    1. If you're on Windows 10, please visit Download Windows 10
    2. If you're on Windows 11, please visit Download Windows 11
  2. Then scroll down to Create Windows 10 installation media / Create Windows 11 Installation Media and click Download Now
  3. Open downloaded file, walk through until you see a screen asking you What do you want to do? / Choose which media to use
    1. If you're on Windows 10, choose Create installation media > Next > ISO file
    2. If you're on Windows 11, choose ISO file
  4. Choose the location you want to save ISO file, then wait for the tool download it
  5. Open ISO file, Windows will create a drive
  6. Open newly created drive, run Setup
  7. Walk through steps to In-place upgrade your system
