when I go to"Insert" then"Printout" and insert my pdf file, it becomes very blurry

but when insert images, it's much better

In the first screenshot, I open it via adobe acrobat. the second screenshot is the pdf in OneNote

If you have the ability to change the resolution when exporting it, then I'd say try that. OneNote generally imports files at the resolution and quality that the external program is defaulted to. Example - if a PDF generator is set to print at 200 dpi, then OneNote cannot do anything to enhance the quality.

Please let me know what you find out if you try it, as I'll be interested to know if that addresses your main problem.

    Warm Regards,

    Joe

    Thank you🙏

    I have few quesiotns:

    1.

do you think playing with the reslution(I inserted a photo of where I could change it in my previous comment) will make any difference?

I mean is changeing the relsiton there than importing to onenote

    2.

I saw that comment on reddit.. so do you think maybe the resliton is just bad by default?

    Reddit comment:

Handling printed material isn't one of OneNote's strong points. You just can't get Word like precision with OneNote when it comes to images, fonts, alignment, spacing etc. For example if you use two languages in OneNote it randomly changes fonts and font sizes, you'd think this kind of bug would be ironed out in a beta but they've existed since OneNote 2003. So my advice is lower your expectation when it comes to text quality because that's just not something OneNote developers care about (they care about other things which make OneNote useful).

I'm sorry that I'm not able to resolve your issue. Perhaps another Independent Advisor will be more familiar with the Mac version of OneNote.

    Warm Regards,

    Joe

    When resizing, quality doesn't change.

Before printing it out, I cannot see a way to change the quality.

I found that, as I said earlier, when I try to open it in preview, I could change some quality settings. However, I don't know if it's going to make any difference after importing it. (see the screenshot below, please)

Could you ask someone familiar with mac and a developer at OneNote; maybe he'll find a way.

    Thank you

    A couple of thoughts...

Are you able to resize the PDF in OneNote? If so, does the blurriness remain? I find that sometimes when I have an image I've imported, it looks blurry at the size it was imported as, but when I change it to the original size, the quality is very clear.

Alternatively, are you able to adjust the DPI of the PDF before importing it into OneNote?

    Warm Regards,

    Joe
