Try one of these, not knowing how your keyboard is designed or connected.
Connecting a USB Keyboard:
- Find a USB Port: Locate an available USB port on your computer (usually on the back or side).
- Plug in the Keyboard: Insert the keyboard's USB connector into the port.
- Wait for Detection: Windows should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. You may see a notification confirming that the keyboard is ready to use.
- Test the Keyboard: Open a text editor and type a few characters to ensure it’s functioning properly.
Connecting a Bluetooth Keyboard:
- Enable Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your computer.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Toggle Bluetooth On.
- Put the Keyboard in Pairing Mode: Refer to your keyboard's manual to enable pairing (usually involves pressing and holding a button until a light blinks).
- Find the Keyboard in Windows:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add device > Bluetooth.
- Select your keyboard when it appears in the list.
- Pair the Keyboard: Follow any on-screen instructions (such as entering a pairing code if prompted).
- Confirm Connection: Your keyboard should now be connected and ready to use.
