Desktop Too Large on Display of Dell Monitor

On Dell Monitor model T24C550 running up-to-date Windows 10, the graphics have been stretched beyond the left and right margins such that I can't see the Microsoft Start button nor the data in the Taskbar. And the top and bottom text extends beyond the limits such that only half of the Taskbar is visible when only standard height is used. Have to stretch it up to see all icons. How to I can this? I don't see where in Display settings nor Personalize selection in drop-down menu? Size of icons makes no difference. Does anyone have a suggestion or two short of upgrading the device driver? Please comment. Thank you.

Hello,

If your monitor is not showing all of the computer content, this means the settings is wrong on the monitor side, not on the computer side.

By the way, I believe your monitor is Samsung Monitor model T24C550, not Dell, right? I cannot find a Dell monitor with that model number, but Samsung has one.

I looked up the monitor manual, looks like the settings can be accessed via:

Monitor's menu button > Picture > Picture options. Then look for size, and adjust from there to find what fits your computer's resolution. I believe you want to use the screenfit option. I attached a screenshot of this part of the instruction from the user guide for the monitor.

Deeksha, thanks but need clarification. The settings for Display settings are as you see below. And where do I find the settings for AMD Radeon (TM) RX Vega 11 Graphics [Display adapter] Device Manager or Registry or somewhere else?

I am Deeksha. I am an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. I will be happy to help you.

Right click on Desktop on empty space and Click on Display setting.

and set it resolution or scale setting.

If you are not going to its setting then go to Safe mode of the PC. Restart your system and go to Safe mode by pressing F8 key or dedicated key of the pc.

Please open intel, Nvidia or AMD graphic application in your PC and adjust its setting.

I hope it helps. Please let me know for any assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Deeksha

Airbus 350 - thanks for the reply. I want to shrink the display of the Windows Desktop because all of the pixels/graphics are not within the edges of the screen. To put it another way, I would like to reduce the entire screen to 75% if I could. Lowest I can go is 100%. When I check the Display in the Device Driver selection of Computer Management, it said the current driver was the most recent.

I will send you a screen print of the monitor screen because I am not sure what you want in System--> Settings-->Display? There are too many screens and much information to select. Could you be more specific?

    Hello,

Could you please attach a screenshot of what you see on Settings > System > Display?

Also, I recommend you update your graphics card drivers and see if you can make the screen fit.

Hope to hear back from you.
