Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hi Care Techr,
The $200 credits are the initial Microsoft for Startups milestone in the new Azure Portal experience. The next milestones are not something you request manually. Microsoft automatically evaluates your startup once the required conditions are met.
For the current program:
- $200: Verify your identity with a personal LinkedIn account.
- $5,000: Complete business verification.
- Higher milestones require continued Azure workload usage over time.
So you should first check the Microsoft for Startups page in the Azure Portal and make sure your business verification is completed. Once approved, the credit level is updated automatically; there is no separate $1,000 or $5,000 application. Microsoft also notes that credit updates can take some time to appear in the portal.
The [email protected] email is not the normal path for progressing through the startup milestones.
