Hi, Theodore Cheek
Since Word is already activated, the license is probably valid. Excel may have damaged activation files, be signed in with a different account, or conflict with another Office installation.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Open Word and select File > Account. Note the email address shown there. Open Excel, sign out of any accounts listed under File > Account, close Excel, then reopen it and sign in with the same licensed account used in Word. Unlicensed Product and activation errors in Office
Update Office from Word by selecting File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
Repair Office. Right-click Start, select Installed apps, find Microsoft 365 or Office, select the three dots, then choose Modify > Online Repair > Repair. Restart Windows afterward. This repairs the full Office installation, including Excel. Repair an Office application
If Excel still will not activate, run the Microsoft 365 Activation Troubleshooter through the Windows Get Help app. It is available on Windows 10 and later. Microsoft 365 troubleshooters
If the problem remains, please share the exact error message or code shown in Excel.
