Thanks, that confirms it clearly.
Since it shows under Mice, starts before login, and stops immediately when disabled. This means Windows is loading it as a real input device at startup.
Before blocking it, one quick check:
Check if something is reinstalling the driver:
- Settings (Win + I) > Click on the "Apps". > Click on "Installed apps."
- Look for anything like: Logitech Options / SetPoint. Any mouse/keyboard software.
- If found, uninstall it (just to rule it out)
- Restart PC and check again.
If issue still persists, to block the device (Windows Home):
- Press Win + R > type
regedit - Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
Create these keys if missing:
- DeviceInstall
- inside it > Restrictions
- Inside Restrictions, create:
- DWORD (32-bit) > DenyDeviceIDs = 1
Create a subkey under Restrictions called:
- DenyDeviceIDs
- Inside that key:
- Create String Value named 1
- Value:
HID\VID_062A&PID_4101
- Restart your PC.
Let me know how it goes.
