I got a free power BI Certificate early last year; till date I am yet to see this certificate. So am wondering if it was really an offer.

Hello @Martha Wesula,

Good day! Thank you for posting your valuable question on Microsoft Q&A forum.

If you receive a free Power BI certificate offer tied to a Microsoft promotional campaign (such as a free exam voucher or learning challenge),these offers typically provide access to a free certification exam, not an automatic certificate.

A certificate is only issued after you successfully pass the exam and claim your badge.

You can send us screenshots of the following sections, and we’ll help you verify whether you’ve earned the correct certificate:

1. Microsoft Learn Profile, Credentials or Achievements

  • Sign in to Microsoft Learn.
  •  Click your profile name in the top-right corner > ProfileUser's image
  •  Select “Credentials” > “Certifications”, and capture the section showing which modules you've completed and whether a certificate or badge is available.

  • If you see a certificate or badge listed under Achievements, please capture that as well.

2. Course or Exam Completion Details

  • If you completed a learning path, take a screenshot of the Course Overview page showing all modules marked as completed.
  • If you passed an exam (e.g., PL-300), share the confirmation page or any related achievement (the notification you mentioned).

Once we have this information, we’ll be able to guide you more effectively on how to obtain your certificate. Please remove any personal information before uploading any images on this public forum.

In the meantime, if you would like more direct and timely assistance, you can also contact the Microsoft Credentials Support team, who specialize in certificate and badge issues. They’ll be able to look into your account and course history in more detail:

  • Go to this link: https://aka.ms/credentialssupport > Sign in using the Microsoft account you used for your certification exam.
  • Click “Continue” to proceed to the Support portal.

  • Fill in all necessary contact information.

  • Click “Save” to submit your contact details.
  • Go back to the same link by open it in the new tab: https://aka.ms/credentialssupport
  • This time, the system will auto-fill:
    • Product Family: Learning
    • Service: Microsoft Credentials   User's image
  • Complete the support request form including for all the Steps.
  • Submit the ticket and wait for Microsoft to respond via your preferred contact method.

Please note that it may take up to 72 business hours for the support team to respond.

While we're happy to help guide you through checking your course progress, please note that we don't have access to individual learning records or certificate details. These are managed by the Microsoft Credentials Support team, who specialize in resolving certificate-related issues such as missing achievements, badge visibility, and account-specific learning history.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reply. Have a nice day and stay healthy!

To obtain your Power BI certificate, you should check your email for a message from Microsoft or Credly's Acclaim platform, which is responsible for issuing digital badges. If you have passed the exam, you should have received an email containing a link to create an account on the Acclaim platform to accept your badge. If you cannot find the email, you can create an account on the Acclaim platform using the same email address that Microsoft has on file for you.

If you still have not received your certificate or badge, you may want to reach out to Credly's support team for assistance in claiming your digital badge.
