I have a website that runs smoothly on Chrome and Firefox without any issues. However, when I open it in Microsoft Edge, some features don’t work as expected . What could be causing this compatibility problem, and how can I fix it to ensure my website works properly across all browsers?

Hi @Rz L,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

I understand your frustration when your website works fine in Chrome and Firefox but not in Microsoft Edge. This often happens due to browser security settings, cached data, or SSL certificates. Here are some steps you can try:

  • Disable “Enhance your security on the web” (under Edge’s privacy/security settings).
  • Make sure Edge is updated to the latest version.
  • Turn off all extensions, then re-enable them one by one to find any conflicts.
  • Clear browsing data (cache, cookies, site data).
  • Try opening the website in InPrivate mode to rule out extension or setting conflicts.
  • Check SSL/certificate settings — Edge may block a certificate that Chrome accepts.
  • If the issue persists, reset or reinstall Edge.

I found some threads related to the same issue that might help:

  1. Microsoft Q&A: Suggestions to clear cache and use InPrivate learn.microsoft.com
  2. Microsoft Answers: SSL/certificate mismatches causing errors in Edge learn.microsoft.com
  3. Superuser: discussion about repairing Edge when it can’t load pages but Chrome can superuser.com

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please provide your Edge version, operating system, and any error messages or screenshots so we can assist further.
