Hello everyone,

the last successfully downloaded Update on my computer is '2024-11 Kumulatives Update für .NET Framework 3.5 und 4.8.1 für Windows 11, version 23H2 für x64 (KB5045935)'. After that there was always an error with either downloading or installing the newest update. (Downloaderror – 0x80040154)

I already tried the following things:

  • To detect errors with 'Troubleshooters Windows update' function
  • Download and install the update manually with Microsoft update catalogue
  • Windows11InstallationAssistant to install windows 11 again (not possible to finish)
  • Delete content of DataStore-Folder (not possible to delete)
  • Administrator Command Prompts in CMD

Nothing helped and I still cannot get the latest update.

Please help :-(. Thank you and best regards

Regina

Hi Regina,

Got the DISM log. We can resolve this issue using a third-party tool named SFCFix.exe, developed by an MVP.

Please run the fix below.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro of Sysnative forums) and save this to your Desktop. https://www.sysnative.com/forums/downloads/sfcfix/
  2. Download the file, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it. See the illustration image: https://imgur.com/a/7i4Y8g8.
  4. When you see the prompt "Will you allow SFCFix to communicate with Sysnative servers?", type "n" for no. Press Enter to continue.
  5. SFCFix will now process the script. It will take some time to complete. Upload the output file SFCFix.txt to your OneDrive.
  6. Restart Windows and attempt to install updates.

    Hi Regina,

Please share your CBS logs for analysis. To collect the CBS logs, open admin PowerShell and run:

    Compress-Archive C:\Windows\Logs\CBS -f (join-path ([environment]::GetFolderPath('Desktop')) \CBS.zip)

This creates a file named CBS.zip on your desktop. Share it on OneDrive or GoFile.io and post the link here.
