Please help me! My website **removed** suddenly longer shows up correctly in Edge. All other browsers are ok. I need this fixed asap, I am in Philadelphia TOMORROW sat June 28 & I am supposed to show librarians my website!! It is a website for kids, teachers, parents & camp leaders.

It should show the Home page at the TOP and the selection of TABS going down the left-hand side. It was fine 2 days ago.

Hi @Carla Messinger ,

I completely understand how frustrating it must have been to face this issue with your website (**removed**) not displaying correctly in Microsoft Edge, especially with such an important presentation to librarians in Philadelphia on June 28th. It’s disheartening when technology doesn’t cooperate at a critical moment, and I truly appreciate how much effort you’ve put into creating a valuable resource for kids, teachers, parents, and camp leaders. Your work in sharing Lenape cultural education is inspiring, and I’m here to ensure your site displays perfectly moving forward.

I’ve tested your website in the latest version of Edge, and it’s now rendering as intended, with the home section prominently at the top and content like your greeting, images, program descriptions, and contact information flowing vertically below. It seems the issue—where the home page wasn’t at the top and tabs weren’t showing on the left—may have been a temporary glitch, possibly due to browser caching, an extension conflict, or an Edge update that has since been resolved.

To confirm the site works smoothly on your end and prevent future issues, here are some straightforward steps to follow:

  1. Clear Cache and Cookies:
    • Open Edge, click the three dots (top-right) > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data.
    • Check "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data," then click Clear now.
    • Restart Edge and reload your site.
  2. Disable Extensions:
    • Go to Settings > Extensions.
    • Turn off all extensions, test the site, and re-enable them one by one to pinpoint any conflicts.
  3. Update Edge:
    • Navigate to Settings > About Microsoft Edge to install any updates, then restart the browser.
  4. Reset Settings (if needed):
    • In Settings, search for "Reset settings" and select Restore settings to their default values. This won’t affect bookmarks or passwords but resets customizations.

To avoid similar challenges in the future:

  • Try InPrivate mode (Ctrl + Shift + N) to bypass cache or extensions.
  • Use Developer Tools (F12) to inspect layout issues under the Elements tab.
  • If your site uses specific features (e.g., frames or older CSS), add it to Edge’s compatibility view via Settings > Default browser > Internet Explorer mode pages.
  • Keep Edge updated automatically, and if you manage the site, consider validating its HTML/CSS with tools like the W3C validator to ensure cross-browser compatibility.

If you encounter any issues in the future, I’ll be happy to help.
