Can’t open any files

Whenever I use the search in the taskbar to look for a file, nothing shows up on the right hand side, and that’s where the option to open it is. Applications show up and Internet searches still work fine, it’s just with files that it does this. If I try to open the file in file explorer, it just freezes the screen, and I have to use task manager to restart file explorer. A couple days ago I got myself access to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps by making myself the owner in the security tab if that’s of any relevance. So in other words, I can’t open any files. I tried restarting the computer, but that didn’t do anything to fix it.IMG_3271

Hi,

Run DISM and SFC tools to repair damaged system files:

On your search bar, type 'command prompt', then right-click and select 'Run as Administrator'. Type the following commands one after another in their respective order

DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth sfc /scannow

Complete each step one at a time - they may take a few minutes. Restart your PC afterward.

I suggest trying the solutions listed here to fix the search bar issues.
