Thank you for letting me know.

It sounds like you're running into pop-up ads or possibly redirects, which might be caused by an unwanted browser extension or adware.

Let’s try a couple of quick things:

Check your browser extensions in Edge

  • Open Edge again, press Alt + F keys, and go to "Extensions."
  • Disable anything unfamiliar or that you don’t remember installing.

Run a full scan using Microsoft Defender

  • Run a full scan using Windows Security to check for any potential security-related issues.
  • Go to Start > type "Windows Security" > Open it
  • Choose Virus & threat protection > then Quick scan or Full scan (recommended)

Clear your browser cache and cookies

  • Go to Edge settings again by pressing Alt + F keys > Settings > and click on "Privacy, search, and services." > Under "Clear browsing data," click on "Choose what to clear" and select all options except saved passwords. > Click on "Clear now." > Test the browser once more to see if the problem is resolved.

Just a heads-up: try not to click on any ads or attachments within Yahoo Mail, especially the sponsored ones. Some of those ads can trigger persistent pop-up loops, and it’s best to avoid them entirely.

Let me know how it goes after trying these, or if the issue continues, I'm here to help.

I really hope this information is helpful! :)

Probably you do not have a paid Microsoft 365 subscription and do not use the ad-free Outlook. Usually the ads contain the “Ad” label in message list.
