I have an issue with sharing my word docx as pdf through the share option within word, it says that can't share the file due to "MAPI failure" how should i fix this?

this is the notification that pops up when i try to share a document through the option 'share as copy > pdf'

earlier it said i did not have an email associated with it so i set outlook as my default email, but the problem still remains.

If you have set the new Outlook as the default e-mail program, note that it won't work, because the new Outlook is not MAPI-compliant.

Instead, you need to set the classic Outlook as the default, because that version is MAPI-compliant. If you don't have the classic Outlook (because it isn't part of your Office product), you can use a third-party program. I believe Thunderbird (which is open source) should work.

Alternatively, you can of course start you e-mail program first, compose your e-mail and add your document as an attachment.
